Shane co - founded the studio band and production team Kymaera with guitarist Simon James - who had previously co - founded the GRP Records supergroup Acoustic Alchemy. Other members of the the team have included the renowned session bassist Dave Markee who has recorded and toured with Eric Clapton, Joan Armatrading, Henry Mancini, Pete Townsend and many more. On saxophone Dave O Higgins, who has toured and recorded with the likes of Randy Crawford, Martin Taylor and Jamie Cullum. On flugel horn and trumpet Dick Pearce who toured extensively with Ronnie Scott and has also played for Everything But The Girl. Jason Rebello and Rainer Bruninghaus on keyboards who between them have worked with Sting, Jeff Beck, Jan Garbarek, Acoustic Alchemy and many more. On drums and percussion Michelle Dress, who has played for the likes of Mica Paris and Kirsty MacColl. Kymaera’s first commission was to record a tribute album to Antonio Carlos Jobim - in conjunction with Corcovada Music and MCI Records. Since then Shane as a co-producer and arranger has been in involved in some 100 commercially released latin and fusion jazz recordings mostly for specialist compilation usage. Productions have been licensed to EMI, Universal, Union Square Music, Sheridan Square Music USA, MCI Records, Demon Music Group and Prestige Records. Original guitar compositions have received air play on jazz FM, BBC radio and many television and radio stations world-wide. Shane has also had guitar compositions signed to the KPM / EMI library music company. Session work has also included playing on productions of many top popular artists, including : Lionel Ritchie, Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige and Liona Lewis as staff guitarist for the grammy nominated dance remix team Moto Blanco Productions. Sony, BMG, Island, A+M, Geffen and Universal Records, are all clients. The renowned and highly successful classical cross-over producer Jon Cohen is also a member of this team. Sessions for Jon Cohen also include playing on a remix of the Charles Trenet classic La Mer for the Deutche Grammophon Label that reached no. 1 in the French classical chart and top 20 in the main album chart.
